Orthopedic pillows –
At a pillow or king duvet, or goose down duvet sale, you will generally see orthopedic pillows. For instance, there are neck pillows – which provide support for the neck by providing a deep area for the head to rest, and a supportive area to keep the neck in alignment with the spine while sleeping. They are also known as cervical pillows. Then there are also travel pillows – which provide support for the neck and the head in a sitting position. They have a U shape – which fits around the back of the neck, and thus keeps the head from slipping into an uncomfortable or harmful position during sleep. But even U-shaped pillows might force the head forward, and thus create stiffness. There are also donut pillows (firm pillows shaped like a torus), these are used by people who have had an injury to the tailbone area. Lastly, there are lumbar pillows – which support the inward curve of the lower back.
